Abstract:

This course will focus on the idea of measuring and collecting data in routine ophthalmic care in order to monitor outcomes. Specifically will quality of care in cataract surgery and refractive surgery be highlighted. Data in and data out in the EUREQUO system and the benefit of using this system will be shown. The course will also go into understanding variation, how to display data, benchmarking and quality improvement work.

There will be a special information session every day at 2pm at the European Registry of Quality Outcomes for Cataract and Refractive Surgery (EUREQUO) booth on how to enter data in the system, reporting on outcomes and benefits of participating.
